Spencer Langseth is an author of horror, dark fantasy, and youth literature whose stories explore the intersection of fear, wonder, and the enduring resilience of the human spirit. Inspired by the works of Stephen King, H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, Bram Stoker, C.S. Lewis, and J.R.R. Tolkien, he strives to tell stories that linger in the imagination long after the final page is turned.
His horror fiction is deeply rooted in folklore, myth, and classic mythology, blending ancient legends with psychological and deeply personal themes. He is drawn to stories where monsters are more than creatures—they are reflections of grief, guilt, faith, obsession, and the unknown. Whether writing supernatural thrillers drenched in blood or atmospheric tales of creeping dread, Spencer aims to craft horror that is both terrifying and emotionally resonant.
In his fantasy and youth fiction, Spencer believes young readers deserve stories that challenge rather than shelter them. He has a deep respect for children’s intelligence and resilience, creating adventures filled with genuine danger, difficult choices, and meaningful lessons, all while maintaining a spirit of hope, sincerity, and compassion. His goal is to inspire courage, imagination, and a lifelong love of reading by trusting young audiences with stories that take them seriously.
When he’s not writing, Spencer can usually be found at the gym, spending time with family and friends, watching movies, reading, or hanging out with his two dogs. He lives with his family near Houston, Texas, alongside a sweet Boxer and an equally lovable Corgi who, despite all available evidence to the contrary, is almost certainly plotting at least three assassinations before breakfast.
